Strengthening the capacity of actors in climate innovation ecosystems to accelerate climate technology solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean
LATAM and the Caribbean, 2024
Project Description: This project aims to strengthen the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) capacities of actors in the climate innovation ecosystem, including accelerators, ecosystem builders, and centers, throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. It supports the implementation of a regional MEL framework to improve the performance and impact of climate technology solutions. The project also builds participants' capacity to track outcomes, facilitate learning, and communicate results effectively.
Methodology: An adaptive MEL methodology was applied, combining results-based management tools with participatory learning approaches. The framework design was based on needs assessments and co-creation processes with implementing partners. Emphasis was placed on context-sensitive and user-friendly tools and indicators to enable continuous improvement.
Results / Deliverables / Key Achievements:
• MEL framework developed and applied jointly by regional innovation actors.
• Strengthening the MEL capacities of ESO and stakeholders in climate technologies.
• Integration of indicators and learning systems in the implementation of the program.
