
Design of a green credit line intended to finance renewable energy projects for rural productive uses

Project Description:
The project aims to support FACACH within the framework of the “LAC E-Coop: Green Financing Pilot to Promote Community Clean Energy Solutions” initiative. The consultancy has two main components:
Market research (quantitative and qualitative) to analyze the context of renewable energies applied to rural productive activities, characterize customer segments and review the conditions of the financial market in relation to green financing.
Design and implementation of a green credit line, adapted to the needs of rural production units, including training for cooperatives and piloting credit placement
Methodology: The methodology combined qualitative and quantitative approaches through surveys, interviews, and workshops, along with documentary and comparative analysis of green financial products. Using this input, a green credit line adapted to rural needs was designed in a participatory manner, a credit simulation tool was developed, and the tool was validated through a pilot program and training for FACACH staff and the selected cooperatives.

· Design of a green credit line for FACACH cooperatives.
• User manual and simulation tool for green credit analysis.
• Training for cooperatives and FACACH on processes and use of the tool.
